Best Crispy Air Fryer Roast Potatoes Recipe

Hands down these are the best and quickest roast potatoes I've ever had. Air fryer is the best for roasting vegetables. And Air fryers and potatoes are a match made in heaven. I love I don't have to heat up the oven if I'm in need of a quick side dish or a snack for the kids.

These roast potatoes are crispy and golden on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. They are so addictive even my two year old loves them and asks for more!

The ingredients cannot be more simple. All you need is potatoes, oil and some seasonings, oh and 30 minutes! You can use your favorite seasonings but I like to dress these potatoes with salt, black pepper, garlic powder and red chili flakes. The red chili flakes has a smoky flavor when roasted giving a little heat and a boost of flavor to the otherwise mild tasting potatoes. Serve them warm with chopped parsley. They are good on their own or with a ranch dip, spicy mayo or even guacamole.

Why We Love This Air Fryer Roast Potatoes:

Tips For Perfect Air Fryer Roast Potatoes

    • Since we are roasting potatoes with the skin, it's important to wash the potatoes thoroughly. Pat them dry with a kitchen towel.
    • Cut the potatoes to similar size so they roast evenly.
    • Arrange the potatoes in a single layer in the Air fryer basket. Don't overcrowd them.
    • I'm using a 5.8 quart Air fryer and I can fit in 1.5 pound potatoes. If you have a small Air fryer you can roast the potatoes in batches or reduce the quantity to 1 pound.
    • You don't have to preheat the Air fryer, but if you have time you can preheat for 3 minutes for more crispy skin.
    • Roast for 10 minutes then flip the potatoes using tongs or a small spatula. Don't shake the basket as it might break the potatoes or not flip them at all.

What To Serve With Air Fryer Roast Potatoes

These roast potatoes are so versatile they can be paired as a side dish with any chicken, meat or seafood dishes.

Here are some of my favorites:

    • Crispy chicken legs, chicken thighs or juicy chicken breasts.
    • Spicy salmon, cajun salmon bites or shrimp.
    • Roast beef, Steak bites, or Rib eye steak.

    Storage

We hardly have any leftovers but if you do, store them in an airtight container in the fridge for 3 days.

Reheat them in the Air fryer at 380˚F until warm through.
