Air Fryer Hasselback Sweet Potatoes
A few simple ingredients and a great technique is all you need to transform the mundane sweet potatoes to something gorgeous and delicious!
Even though Hasselback method is popular with potatoes I wanted to do the same with sweet potatoes. Sweet potato consumption is pretty low in our household and I wanted to create something unique and flavorful in the hopes that my family will like it. This recipe didn't disappoint. They really liked it! I loved it!
Mini sweet potatoes are great because they can fit into the Air fryer pretty easily. I didn't want to heat up the oven and chose to do in the Air fryer, which has become my favorite appliance these days. The sweet potatoes are washed thoroughly, dried and sliced thinly without cutting all the way through. I use two chopsticks to do that as you'll see in the process shots below. Then they are brushed with flavored butter and baked in the Air fryer until crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. And served with whipped maple butter. So delicious and fancy!
