How To Make Brussel Sprout In Air Fryer

It’s important you trim the nubby bits at the top of the Brussels sprouts. Discard any outer leaves that are discoloured or wilted. Give the Brussels sprouts a good rinse. Dry them with paper towels to soak up any extra water.

Cut the Brussels sprouts in half. This means more surface area for crispy caramelized edges.

Recipe Tips

  • Pick fresh sprouts: Go for ones that are bright green and firm. They’re sweeter and crisp up better.
  • Toss the bad leaves: If any outer leaves look sad or spotty, peel them off so you’re left with the good stuff.
  • Dry them well: After rinsing, pat the sprouts dry with paper towels. Too much water = soggy sprouts.
  • Trim and slice: Cut off the rough ends and slice them in half. That gives more crispy surface area!
  • Don’t crowd the basket: Lay them in a single layer so they roast, not steam. Cook in batches if you need to.
  • Crisp them all together: Once all batches are done, throw them back in the air fryer for a minute to reheat and get even crispier.

Frozen Brussels Sprouts In The Air Fryer

To cook frozen brussels sprouts, toss them with oil and seasoning and air fry at 400˚F for about 15 minutes or until they’re tender and crispy.

Why Did My Brussels Sprouts Burn In The Air Fryer?

It could be due to high heat or longer cooking time. Try to reduce the temperature to 380˚F to 375˚F. Shake the basket to move the brussels sprouts around so they cook evenly.
