I’m the cook, photographer, and voice behind Love and Other Spices. Originally from Sri Lanka, I’ve lived in Dubai, Qatar, Ireland, and now call Ontario, Canada home with my husband and 3 sons (2 teenagers and a 4-year-old).

My cooking style reflects how I approach life, blending love and spices to create meals that are both delicious and cherished. Spices play a huge role in my cooking, influenced by my upbringing in Sri Lanka.

My recipes are globally inspired by my experiences living in different countries, offering a vibrant mix of cuisines from around the world as well as classic comforts. On my site, you’ll find simple, easy, fresh meals with loads of flavor, made using everyday ingredients that are budget-friendly and healthy-ish. I also have a major sweet tooth, so there will definitely be desserts!
