Air Fryer Pizza Rolls

These Pizza rolls in the Air fryer have a nice doughy crust, filled with meat, mozzarella cheese, and toppings rolled up and baked. They are baked nestled together so you get to cook them in one go and pull each one out like a pull-apart bread. They are also called pizza pinwheels and are a fun way to serve pizza.

You can buy a pre-made pizza dough for this but I think making this dough at home is easier. It’s made with pantry staples you probably have in your kitchen.

Choose your favorite pizza toppings to fill these rolls with. The options are endless and you can play to your heart’s content! I used pepperoni, roasted red peppers from the jar, red onions and green olives, and plenty of mozzarella cheese.

Unlike the store-bought frozen pizza roll varieties, these are made at home from scratch and you know exactly what goes into them! Serve them as an after-school snack or as a light dinner. Get the kids involved in and they’ll love it!

Recipe Tips

  • Roll the dough on a floured surface. Remove the rolled dough and place it on a plastic wrap. This will help roll the dough after you place toppings on it.
  • Once you roll the dough up with toppings chill it in the fridge for about 10 minutes.
  • Cover the rolls with a foil before baking so the tops won’t get burned quickly.

Pizza Roll Toppings

Use anything you would use on a normal pizza. But make sure you slice it thinly or chop it finely. Don’t overfill the as it might ooze out when cutting. Dry the wet ingredients like olives or mushrooms or peppers with a kitchen towel. You can use the following:

  • Pepperoni, Salami, Ham, shredded chicken, ground beef
  • sliced onion, sliced mushrooms, sliced roasted red peppers, sliced olives
