Air Fryer Apples
These Air Fryer Apples are a warm cozy treat that’s perfect for snacking or dessert and they come together in just 10 minutes. Apples are air fried with butter, brown sugar and warm spices to create a rich, irresistible sauce!

I love cooking fruits in the air fryer for a quick dessert or snack. The circulating hot air caramelizes and brings out the natural sweetness in fruits, much faster than the oven!
Apart from making apple chips, these baked apples in the Air Fryer are our favorite dessert to make in Fall. They’re ready in just 10 minutes, tender and cinnamon-spiced, with a rich, buttery brown sugar sauce coating the apples.
Enjoy the air fried apples on their own, or serve them with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an indulgent dessert. I use them as a topping for pancakes, waffles, or oatmeal, or as a sweet side dish with savory meals.

- Apples – I used Gala apples, but feel free to use any sweet variety like Fuji or Honeycrisp. Tart apples like Granny Smith works well if you prefer a little tang.
- Oil – A light coating of oil helps the spices stick to the apple slices. Use a neutral, mild-flavored oil.
- Butter – Creates the sauce that coats the apples.
- Brown Sugar – Adds a rich, molasses-like flavor that pairs well with apples. You can also use white sugar or maple syrup as a substitute.
- Spices – A combination of cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger takes these apples to the next level! Apple pie spice would be good substitute.
How to Make Air Fryer Apples

STEP ONE: Rinse and dry the apples. Core and cut the apple into 8 slices. I use an apple slicer for this.
STEP TWO: Mix the cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger together in a small bowl. In a large bowl, toss the apples with oil and half of the cinnamon spice mix.


STEP THREE: Place the apples in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
STEP FOUR: Air fry apples at 375˚F for 10 minutes turning the apple slices halfway through.

STEP FIVE: Remove the air fried apples and transfer into a large bowl and add melted butter, brown sugar and the rest of the spice mix. Toss gently to coat. Serve and enjoy!

Recipe Tips
- Want to use them as a topping? Try chopping the apples instead of slicing.
- For even cooking, be sure to flip the apple slices halfway through air frying.
- For extra caramelization, sprinkle the apples with the spice and sugar mixture before air frying.

Ingredients
- 3 apples
- ½ tbsp oil any mild flavored oil
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- ⅛ tsp nutmeg
- ⅛ tsp ginger
