Air Fryer Frozen Hash Brown Patties
Make crispy hash brown patties in the Air fryer from frozen without any oil. They’re ready in 10 minutes and make a great breakfast side dish!
Air fryer frozen hash brown patties are a convenient way to add some potato deliciousness to your breakfast. We love this breakfast side dish with sausages and eggs for lazy weekend mornings or brunch.
If you aren’t using your air fryer for frozen foods you’re missing out. I cook most of my frozen foods in the Air fryer like these Air Fryer Frozen Pizza, Air Fryer Frozen Burgers for quick meals, or Air Fryer French Fries, Air Fryer Frozen Sweet Potato Fries, and Air Fryer Tater Tots as side dishes.
What’s great about making these frozen hash browns in the Air fryer is you don’t need to use any oil. You only need to brush some oil to the Air fryer basket or tray to make sure the frozen hash browns don’t stick. These hash browns have residue oil that’s enough for cooking them in the Air fryer.
Since the Air fryer works by circulating hot air around to cook the food, the hashbrowns turn out crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. No need to thaw and it gets cooked straight from frozen. They cook faster than in the oven too in just 10 minutes. As busy moms, we all know how amazing it is.

Preheat air fryer to 400F. Place the hash brown in the Air fryer and cook for 2 to 3 minutes until they are warm.
Common Questions
Should I thaw the hash browns before reheating?
The best thing about this recipe is that you don’t need to thaw the frozen hash brown patties. They can go to the Air fryer straight from frozen.
Can you stack hash brown patties in the Air fryer?
I don’t recommend it. Placing the frozen patties in a single layer in the Air fryer makes them cook faster and turn crispy.
Should you flip the hash brown patty?
I tested with flipping versus not flipping the patty. I’d say to ensure they get evenly browned on both sides within that cooking time you should flip the patty.
What kind of utensils should you use to flip food in an Air Fryer?
To prevent scratching the Air fryer basket use silicone tipped tongs or a silicon spatula to gently flip the hash brown patty.
