Ingredients
 

  • 7 oreo cookies
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp sugar optional

To Serve

  • mini oreo cookies
  • whipped cream
  • vanilla ice cream

Instructions
 

  • Process the Oreo cookies to fine crumbs in a food processor.
    Alternatively, place the cookies in a ziplock bag and crush them with a rolling pin.
  • Transfer the oreo crumbs to a microwave-safe mug. Mix in the baking powder. Add sugar if using.
  • Add the vanilla extract and milk and blend with a fork or a spoon until it forms a paste.
  • Microwave the mug cake for 60 seconds. The top will look spongy and in some cases a bit fudgy in the middle. You can cook it for an additional 10 to 15 seconds if needed. Let it rest for a couple of minutes.
  • Top with whipped cream or ice cream and mini Oreo cookies.

Notes

  • Store any leftovers in the fridge covered with a lid or tightly wrapped in a cling film, making it airtight.
  • Reheat leftovers in a microwave for 10 to 15 seconds. Note that the texture might be different.
