This baked Brioche French Toast Casserole is rich and heavenly! With simple French toast ingredients it only takes 5 min prep time and feeds a crowd. Perfect for lazy Sunday mornings, holiday or weekend brunches!
Preheat oven to 350˚F. Use a tablespoon of butter to grease the casserole dish.Cut the brioche bread into about 1.5-inch cubes. They should all be roughly the same size.
Beat the eggs lightly in a large mixing bowl. Add the brown sugar and beat until the sugar is dissolved.Add the heavy cream, milk, vanilla extract, spices and a pinch of salt to the egg mixture and whisk until combined.
Fill the casserole dish with cubed bread. Pour the custard mixture over the bread.Use a spatula or spoon to press the bread down in the custard mixture so all the bread is soaked in the liquid . If you're prepping ahead, cover the dish with plastic wrap and keep it in the fridge overnight and bake it in the morning.
Bake at 350˚F for 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes clean. After baking, allow the casserole to rest for 5 to 10 minutes before cutting. Serve with powdered sugar sprinkled on top. Along with maple syrup and berries.

Make-Ahead - This breakfast casserole can be prepped the night before and bake in the morning. Or prep a couple of hours before baking.Store- If you have any leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the fridge for 3 to 4 days.Reheat- You can reheat it in a preheated oven until it's warm through. Individual pieces can be reheated in the microwave.
