Equipment

Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts about 8 oz each
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • ¾ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper

Instructions

  • Pat the chicken breast dry with a paper towel. Place the chicken breasts in a plastic bag and pound with a rolling pin or a meat mallet to even thickness.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper and brown sugar.
  • Rub oil on the chicken breasts and sprinkle with the spice mix on all sides so it's evenly coated. Alternatively, you can add the oil and spice mix to the chicken breast in a zip lock bag and mix to coat them.
  • Preheat air fryer to 390˚F. Place the chicken breasts in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  • Air fry chicken breasts for 8 minutes. Flip the chicken breast over and air fry for another 8 to 10 minutes until the internal temperature is 165˚F.
  • Remove from the air fryer and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing.

Notes

  • Store leftover chicken breasts in an airtight container in the fridge for 4 to 5 days.
  • Reheat the chicken breasts in the air fryer at 375˚F for a few minutes until warm or microwave them.
