Crispy Air Fryer Tortilla Chips

  • 4 corn tortillas
  • 1 tbsp oil or cooking spray
  • salt to taste

Instructions
 

  • Preheat air fryer to 350˚F.
  • Stack the tortillas and cut into triangles. Brush each triangle with oil or use a cooking spray. Season with salt.
  • Place the tortilla pieces in the air fryer basket in a single layer without overlapping much. You'll need to cook the tortilla chips in batches.
  • Air fry tortilla chips at 350˚F for 5 minutes, flipping them halfway through cooking time until golden brown and crispy.
  • Remove from the air fryer and let the chips cool. Serve tortilla chips with salsa, guacamole or your favorite dip.

Notes

  • If using larger tortillas, you may need to increase the cooking time by a minute or two.
  • Flour tortillas may need less cooking time than corn tortillas. 
  • Add cajun seasoning, ranch seasoning, taco seasoning, or chili powder, paprika, garlic powder for extra flavor.
  • For cinnamon sugar tortilla chips, mix 2 tablespoon sugar with 1 tsp cinnamon. Brush the tortillas with oil or melted butter and sprinkle the cinnamon sugar. Follow the recipe as written above.
Store leftover tortilla chips in an airtight container or ziplock bag in the counter for up to a week.
