Ingredients
 

Chicken Wings Dry Rub

  • 2 pound chicken wings
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

Seasoned Flour

  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

Buffalo Wing Sauce

  • ½ cup red hot sauce
  • ¼ cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar

Instructions
 

  • Dry the wings with paper towels.
  • Mix all the spices in a small bowl. Rub the spices into chicken wings and let it marinate for 30 minutes or 1 hour.
  • Add salt, black pepper and cayenne pepper to the flour and mix well.
  • FOR THE THE FIRST DIP - Dip each wing in the seasoned flour until well coated. Submerge them in a bowl of cold water for a few seconds.
  • FOR THE SECOND DIP - Take the wet wing and dip it in the seasoned flour again for a second coat. Shake off excess flour and place it on a baking sheet. Spray lightly with oil.
  • Preheat Air fryer to 400℉. Place the wings on the Air fryer basket. Air fry for 12 to 15 minutes until crispy and golden brown. You can also use a meat thermometer th check doneness. The internal temperature should be 165℉.
  • Remove and coat with buffalo wing sauce. Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.

To Make the Buffalo Wing Sauce

  • Melt the butter on medium heat in a saucepan. Add Frank's red hot sauce, brown sugar and cook for a few minutes until it coats the back of a spoon. Add black pepper and cayenne pepper if needed, for a spicy buffalo sauce.
  • Remove the buffalo sauce from heat and mix with wings.

Notes

  • Store - leftover air fryer buffalo wings, in an airtight container and keep it in the fridge for 3 days.
  • Reheat - them in the Air fryer at 350F for a few minutes until warm and crispy.
  • Freeze - the wings in a freezer bag in the freezer for 3 months. Thaw them overnight in the fridge. Reheat them in the Air fryer until warm and crispy.
