Easy Tuna Dip With Canned Tuna

This easy tuna dip with canned tuna is the perfect appetizer for game day, parties or any gathering. It's creamy, flavorful, and sure to be a hit with everyone.

Ingredients
 

  • 2 canned tuna 6 oz each, drained
  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 spring onion
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions
 

  • Slice the green onions thinly and reserve some green parts to garnish.
  • Into the a bowl of a food processor, add the drained tuna, cream cheese, sliced green onions, mayo, lemon juice, onion powder, paprika, salt and black pepper. Pulse to combine.
  • Process until you get a creamy texture with a bit of chunky pieces.
  • Transfer the dip to a serving bowl and garnish with the reserved sliced green onions if desired. Serve immediately or chill in refrigerator until ready to serve.

Notes

Variations

  • Smoked tuna dip - add 1 teaspoon of liquid smoke or use smoked tuna in the recipe.
  • Buffalo tuna dip - add 1 tablespoon buffalo hot sauce. Increase if needed.
  • Without cream cheese - substitute with sour cream or Greek yogurt.
Store leftover tuna dip in an air tight container in the fridge for 4 to 5 days. Make sure there are no crumbs.
Make the tuna dip one or two days ahead of your party.
Serve cold or let it come to room temperature half an hour before serving.
