Air Fryer Hasselback Sweet Potatoes With Whipped Maple Butter
A simple dish made fancy, Air fryer Hasselback sweet potatoes are served with a whipped maple butter. They are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. They make a great healthy side dish.
On a chopping board, place the sweet potato between two chopsticks and slice thinly. Taking care not to slice all the way through. Having the chopsticks firmly on place will prevent that. Trim the ends of the sweet potatoes if they are dried and dirty.
In a small mixing bowl, whisk together melted butter, garlic powder, cinnamon and salt. Brush the flavored butter over the sweet potatoes.
Place the potatoes in the Air fryer basket and fry them at 400°F for 20 minutes. Or until the flesh is cooked and skin is crispy. If not, lower the temperature to 350°F and cook a few minutes more.
Remove the sweet potatoes from the Air fryer and let it cool.
To make whipped butter, beat softened butter until light and fluffy and stir in the maple syrup. Serve the sweet potatoes with whipped maple butter on top and chopped chives.
