Perfect Instant Pot Hard Boiled Eggs {Easy Peel}

Hard boiled eggs are a versatile food to have on hand. Learn how to make hard boiled eggs in the instant pot and a method that results in easy to peel eggs every single time! No ice bath required!

Equipment

Ingredients
 

  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup water

Instructions
 

  • Add 1 cup of water to the Instant Pot. Place the trivet inside with the eggs on it.
  • Cover with lid and turn the valve in to "Sealing" position.
  • Press the pressure cook button and set it for High Pressure and the timer for 5 minutes.
  • When you hear the beep, let it naturally release pressure for another 5 minutes.
  • Once the 5 minutes is up, release the pressure by turning the valve into the "Venting" position. Let the pin drop.
  • Remove the lid carefully, remove the eggs and transfer them to a bowl of cold water and submerge fully. Let it cool off for 5 minutes or more.
  • Crack the eggs by rolling them on the counter and put them in a bowl of water for a few minutes. Eggs will easily peel off after that.

Notes

  • Hard boiled eggs can be peeled and stored in the fridge for 7 days.
  • It won't freeze well.
