Bring a pot of water to boil. Add salt.Add the green beans and blanch them for 4 to 5 mins.Strain the green beans.
Meanwhile, in a skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Add the almonds and fry them until they turn golden brown. Remove the almonds.
Add the onion and garlic to the skillet and saute them until translucent. Add the green beans and saute them for a few minutes until tender. Add the almonds back in.
